4/1/26 Happy New Year, Happy Epiphany, New Year Resolutions

First let me say …

Then, thanks to all who contributed their new year resolutions. Speaking out boldly about how we want to change in the year to come can help it become a reality. And here, we are among friends.

If you’d like to share your resolution (and also see what others have resolved on) you can do so using this form.

But remember, although it’s in one sense a new year, it’s still Christmas.

The crib is still there…

… but a few other people have been making their way towards it for the last week or two, as you may have noticed in the South aisle:

On Sunday we will think about what they saw when they got there. And about what we may see if we are willing to look with open eyes.

Apart from that, not much to report besides a few things going on in the wider community which I’ve been asked to publicise:

Oh, yes, one more thing – sorry to go on about it but I really do think our church building looks particularly lovely – this time with the moon behind it.

We know the most high God doesn’t live in buildings made by human hands. We, the people, the body of Christ, are the church. All this is true.

But we give thanks to God for this building all the same. I look forward to seeing you in it on Sunday.
