Music at Holy Trinity

Our choirmaster, M Woodroffe writes:

We at Roehampton, being an ecumenical set-up, are varied and fascinating in the breadth of our music.

In the 10 am. main service at Holy Trinity we have a traditional robed Choir, all drawn from the church, all keen and feisty – and we sing the classical liturgical repertoire.  The beauty of the building is matched by an excellent pipe organ – making it a joy to come and sing:  and in addition, we lead in the singing of worship songs and any other forms that come our way.  If you like lively music: come to Roehampton.

But also, at Minstead Gardens Methodist Church in the afternoons, we have a small service of powerful prayer and methodist singing: we will attempt anything. Keyboard accompanies.  This is the prayer powerhouse for our Urban Mission work, with interactive preaching.

In addition to all this, in the Choir are two who work and have contacts in the West End shows:  they periodically gather their friends and workmates to put on musical extravaganzas randomly on a Sunday evening. These evenings have to be experienced to be believed – wow!  So all in all, our parish is good on music. Come along! You will be very welcome.
