CEDARS YOUTH CLUB
Fun, crafts, games, laughter, cooking and sports, all added in with a splash of excitement and heaps of enthusiasm makes the perfect recipe for a what is CEDARS youth club.
The club enjoys jam-packed programmes that are created based on the enjoyment and desire of the young people themselves. We’ve done everything from egg drop challenges and tie-dye to treasure hunts and firework themed evenings. We’ve even been practicing our life saving skills with basic first aid training and dreaming big for our futures celebrating Martin Luther King Day. We try as much as possible to keep our programmes fun and excitement but also relevant and building on our skills. Some things to look out for in our upcoming programme are; rainbow cake evening, Science rocket blast off and Messy Easter. All the young people who attend the club have a great time and always want to play more games or do more activities- which always keeps us busy!
A lot of our members come from the Church School in Roehampton however; we also have members from various other schools, all of which gel well together. We’d of course love to see new members and grow the club to be able to expand friendship groups and create new opportunities for our children and young people. So please spread the word.
We’re the fairly ‘new kid on block’ in regards to our work over at Roehampton but don’t let that put you off as we have a lot of experience running similar clubs over at Chiswick and youth activities in Hounslow. We meet on Tuesday evenings from 5.30-7.00pm at Minstead Gardens (Methodist Church) down on the Alton Estate, a short way down from Danbury Avenue shops. The club is for anyone ages 6-11 and is just £1 a session. So, why not come join the fun? We look forward to seeing you!
