Introducing Sunny

My real name is Sunhild, but because it is very difficult for English people to pronounce, I use the name Sunny. I started as the new Finance and Parish Administrator for Holy Trinity Church on Monday 14th May and I work normally Monday to Friday from 10.00 am till 2.00 pm. I am an Austrian National but have lived for the last 30 years in London and before that in different areas of West Germany. I usually worship twice a month at the German Protestant Church in Forest Hill / Sydenham. The church is named after Dietrich Bonhoeffer and is a united congregation, mixing Lutheran and Reformed traditions. I am a member of their PCC and hold a number of positions in the church. As we are self-financing, this work is all voluntary. Before I started at Holy Trinity, I was the Parish Administrator at St. Mary’s Church Battersea for seven and a half years until I was made redundant in February 2018, although I continued to help out until May. Previously I worked in the IT department of an upmarket clothing company, but in 2008 the European IT department was moved back to Hong Kong and this made my job redundant.

I am extremely grateful to Revd Jim McKinney, Mrs Ann O’Sullivan, Mrs Pam Harris, Miss Elly Horne, Dr John Moxon and Mr Tom Kemoh for helping me settle in. I would be very happy if any of you would like to visit me in my office (in the vestry). My husband Donald (Don) and I will try to come to services here from time to time, so I hope to meet all of you at Holy Trinity Church eventually.

Sunny (Sunhild) Walker-Kier
