60+ Cafe Honour

The Mayor of Wandsworth, Councillor Jane Cooper has honoured Jean Vincett and Pam Harris at the 60+ Cafe – and all who volunteer there – by inviting them to a ‘Prosecco Reception’ in the Mayor’s Parlour on January 7th, 2020.

This is a great acknowledgement of the vital part the cafe plays in the community of Roehampton, engaging with the older residents and offering a wonderful space of fun, fellowship, care, good food and socialising – along with practical services such as foot care and seated dance and other fun activities such as bell-ringing and trips to the coast.

The cafe is a great blessing to the many people who attend it and beautifully run and managed by Jean and Pam and their many volunteers.

The reception was enjoyed by all – and the volunteers received the special Mayoral Badge which signifies their service to the community.
