Holy Trinity is an ecumenical parish – this means we are in partnership with the Methodist Church and have been a partnership for over fifty years. Roehampton Methodist Church (often known as Minstead Gardens) is located in the middle of the Danebury Estate in a small building which many do not realise to be a church at first glance.
From September 2018, Minstead Gardens has a new deacon, Kathy Johnson, who will be leading the Methodist outreach and joint Mission Action Planning group with Holy Trinity on the Alton Estate.
Minstead Gardens holds a number of outreach activities including the 60+ cafe every Thursday and children’s groups run by Megan Thomas – as well as Men in Sheds run by Age UK, Wandsworth and much more. Minstead Gardens holds services at 3pm on a Sunday, where you can be assured of a warm welcome – and regularly organises community events in the summer for the residents of Danebury Avenue estate.
Our partnership with the Methodists also includes Putney Methodist Church, the minister there is Rev. Geoffrey Farrar who regularly preaches at Holy Trinity and will oversee activities at Minstead Gardens prior to the arrival of the Deacon in September 2018.
