Children’s – One Day Workshop for Noye’s Fludde
February 1 @ 10:00 am - 3:30 pm
CALLING ALL CHILDREN!
Noye’s Fludde: a community opera
Saturday, 8th February
at Putney Methodist Church
Putney Methodist Church is working with other local churches and community groups to
produce Noye’s Fludde. This is an amazing opportunity for all children and young people
who enjoy music and performing. The opera was written by Benjamin Britten to be
performed by community groups and specifically by children, who make a chorus of animals.
It lasts about one hour and is a wonderful introduction to classical music.
All children are welcome to join us; no prior experience is necessary. We will be running a
one-day workshop on Saturday 1st February from 10:00 am to 3:30 pm where we will learn
music, work on choosing what animals we will be(!) and making masks. There’ll also be lots
of opportunities for games and refreshments will be provided (bring a packed lunch), it will
be an inclusive and welcoming environment in a well-supervised and relaxed atmosphere.
There is then a dress rehearsal from 6.00 to 7:45 pm on Friday 7th February and
performances at 3:00 pm and 6:00 pm on Saturday 8th February.
There is no charge for taking part; if you have children who’d like to join us or have any
further questions then please let me know on [email protected] or for more
